Catering a Break on a 30 to 40 Baht Budget
IllustrationIf you are searching for a 35 baht break snack, here is the direct answer before you spend time reading on: BreakHub does not have a set at that price. The cheapest is the Value Set at ฿42 per box. So this page helps you work out what to do with a 30 to 40 baht budget per head, when the lowest price available is ฿42 and orders start at 50 boxes.
Is there a 35 baht break snack or a 30 baht snack box?
No. Our starting price is ฿42 per box. We have no set at 30, 35 or 40 baht. We would rather not offer a set that does not exist, because taking an order and changing the price later wastes everyone's time.
If you see a 30 baht break snack or a 30 baht snack box elsewhere, check whether that price includes the drink, the box, tissue and delivery. The Value Set at ฿42 includes one pastry, a 100 ml cup of drinking water, a clear sachet, tissue and a white box with the BreakHub logo. Delivery is separate and charged by real distance. Compare what is actually in the box before deciding.
| Budget searched | What BreakHub offers | Gap against that budget |
|---|---|---|
| 30 baht | Value Set at ฿42 | ฿12 over per head |
| 35 baht | Value Set at ฿42 | ฿7 over per head |
| 40 baht | Value Set at ฿42 | ฿2 over per head |
None of these prices include delivery, which is charged by real distance and quoted by the team when they confirm the order. So your real total will be a little higher than the table suggests.
What does the 30 to 40 baht gap come to over the whole event?
The gap per head looks small, but multiplying by headcount makes it clearer. This table compares the budget you set with the Value Set at ฿42, before delivery. It starts at 50 people because that is the order minimum.
| Headcount | Budget at 35 baht per head | Budget at 40 baht per head | Value Set at ฿42 | Gap against the 40 baht budget |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | 1,750 | 2,000 | 2,100 | 100 |
| 60 | 2,100 | 2,400 | 2,520 | 120 |
| 80 | 2,800 | 3,200 | 3,360 | 160 |
| 100 | 3,500 | 4,000 | 4,200 | 200 |
Figures are in baht. For 50 people at 40 baht per head you have ฿2,000, but 50 Value Sets cost ฿2,100, so you are ฿100 short. If the original budget was 35 baht, you are ฿350 short. An event with fewer than 50 guests still has to order 50 boxes. That number is the part you have to close by adjusting the box count, the number of breaks, or the budget.

Catering a break on a small budget: how to stay within it
Four approaches work in practice with the Value Set, and none of them leaves guests feeling shortchanged. Each has a trade-off, so choose the one that suits your event.
Option 1: match the box count to the people who will actually eat
Many events order by the registration list, but fewer people turn up. If you have attendance data from last time, use it as the base. For example, 66 people registered but about 55 usually come. Ordering 55 boxes saves ฿462 compared with 66. The caution is that anyone beyond that gets no box, and the order cannot go below 50 boxes. Reducing the count after ordering needs 48 hours' notice.
Option 2: one break instead of two
For a full-day event with a morning and an afternoon break, cutting to a single longer break halves the cost. For 50 people, two breaks with the Value Set come to ฿4,200, and one break is ฿2,100. It suits events that start late, or where guests have already had breakfast.
Option 3: leave out groups who do not need a box
The organising team or speakers may already have their own food. For example, 66 people registered, and you take out 6 organisers and speakers, leaving 60 boxes. At ฿42 that is ฿2,520, which is ฿252 less than 66 boxes at ฿2,772, before delivery. The limit is that the total cannot drop below 50 boxes.
Option 4: adjust the budget, not the quality
When the shortfall is small, say ฿2 to ฿10 per head, asking for a slightly larger budget is sometimes easier than hunting for something cheaper. Write a short reason for the approver, such as: a pastry and a drink in one box per person, with nothing to arrange ourselves.
What is in the box for a little over 40 baht?
The Value Set at ฿42 has one classic pastry and a 100 ml cup of drinking water. You pick from the classic menu of 10 items, such as Plain Croissant, Banana Chocolate Chip Cake and Chicken Floss Chili Bun. You can mix kinds, up to 20 pieces of any one kind. The box, tissue and individually wrapped pastry are included in the price.
We sell three sets only: the Value Set at ฿42, the Recommend Set at ฿70 (2 premium pastries, no drink) and the Best Seller Set at ฿85 (2 premium pastries and a 180 ml orange juice drink). There is no set priced in between. Compare them on the snack box prices page.

A low-budget order worked out step by step
Say an HR team has ฿2,400 for a training break, one break only, for 60 attendees. That is exactly 40 baht per head, with delivery not yet counted. Work through it in order.
- 60 Value Sets × ฿42 = ฿2,520, already ฿120 over budget.
- Add the delivery fee the team quotes. Call it X baht. The total is 2,520 + X.
- You could cut to 57 boxes: 57 × 42 = ฿2,394. That still leaves no room for delivery, and the total cannot go below 50 boxes.
The lesson from this example is that your per-head budget always has to leave room for delivery. If the total equals exactly ฿42 times headcount, delivery pushes you over at once. Ask for the delivery fee before you confirm the box count, so you do not have to cut guests at the last minute. For more on delivery charges, read the snack box delivery fee guide.
How tight is too tight: when to ask for more
If the gap per head is no more than ฿10, asking for a bit more budget is usually easier than cutting guests, because the missing total is still a few hundred baht. If the budget is so low that the total falls under ฿2,100, which is the smallest order, it may be worth rethinking whether you need a boxed break at all, or whether you can hand out snacks less often.
For example, a monthly training session for 60 people at 35 baht per head is ฿2,100. The Value Set costs ฿2,520, which is ฿420 short each time, or ฿5,040 per year. Seen as a yearly figure, the number an approver has to decide on is usually clearer. Try presenting it as an annual budget.
What to ask the team before ordering on a small budget
Send one message with the following, and the team can answer everything in one round.
- Headcount: give the exact number, and say whether it might go up or down.
- Total budget: state the maximum with delivery already included, so the team can help you choose a box count that fits.
- Date, time and venue: the team needs the address to quote a delivery fee by real distance.
- Groups without a box: list any speakers or organisers who have their own food separately.
Order at least 2 days ahead, with a minimum of 50 boxes. Payment in full is due before delivery, and we deliver in Bangkok and surrounding provinces. Use the break budget calculator to try different headcounts first, or send the details through the quote request form. If the budget stretches to 50 baht per head, is the Value Set enough?
A budget of 50 baht per head covers the Value Set at ฿42 and leaves ฿8 per head for delivery. For 50 boxes the budget is ฿2,500, the boxes cost ฿2,100, and ฿400 is left for a delivery fee charged by real distance. More boxes spread the delivery fee more thinly, but a long trip can cost more than ฿400, so ask the team first.
| Boxes | Budget at 50 baht per head | Value Set at ฿42 | Left for delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | 2,500 | 2,100 | 400 |
| 80 | 4,000 | 3,360 | 640 |
| 100 | 5,000 | 4,200 | 800 |
Figures are in baht, and the remainder has to cover a delivery fee quoted by distance. The 50 baht snack box guide goes further into budgets at this level.
What to know before ordering on a small budget
There are four limits to know before you plan a small budget with BreakHub. The lowest price is ฿42 per box, and no set is cheaper. The minimum is 50 boxes per order, so a smaller event still orders 50 or combines its needs with another event. Delivery is separate and charged by real distance, and the team quotes it before you confirm. We also do not guarantee the snacks are safe for people with food allergies.
- Payment: payment in full is due before delivery day, so settle the budget before you press order.
- Reducing boxes: you can reduce the count with at least 48 hours' notice before delivery, and after that the original quantity stands.
- Lead time: we recommend ordering at least 2 days ahead. Rush requests are handled case by case and are not promised every time.
Summary
BreakHub has no 35 baht break snack. The cheapest set is the Value Set at ฿42 per box with a 50-box minimum, which is ฿2,100 before delivery. On a budget of 30 to 40 baht per head the gap is ฿2 to ฿12 per person, and you can close it by counting only the people who will actually eat, cutting to one break, or asking for a slightly larger budget. Leave room in the total for delivery, which is charged by real distance.
