Custom Break Sets by Budget and Event

Most people who ask about a custom break set have two problems at once: a per-head budget that is fixed, and a wish for a set that suits their kind of event. A morning meeting and a funeral call for different pastries. This page explains how to start from the base set that matches your budget, then adjust the pastries within what is actually possible, with worked examples you can adapt.

First, the boundaries. BreakHub does not design new pastries to order, and customer logos are not available on the box. What you can adjust is the choice and mix of pastries from the existing list, the drink in each box, and the proportions to suit the type of event.

How far can you customise a break set, and what can you change?

Here, custom means putting a set together, not manufacturing something new. There are three things you can adjust.

  • The base set by price per box: 42, 70 or 85 baht
  • A mix of pastries in one order. You can choose several kinds, with no more than 20 pieces of any one kind per order
  • Swapping or adding a drink per box. If you want a different drink, tell the team to check it, and they quote that part when confirming the order

It is also worth knowing what cannot be changed, so you do not waste time asking.

  • The menu is limited to the published pastry list, and pastries outside the list are not accepted
  • The minimum is 50 boxes per order, with no exception by type of event
  • Customer logos, stickers and customer-branded boxes are not available. The box is white and carries the BreakHub logo

Every box keeps the same standard. Pastries are baked fresh for each order with no preservatives, each pastry is packed in a clear sachet, there is tissue in the box, and packing is included in the box price.

Choosing a base set by budget: how do 42, 70 and 85 baht differ?

Start from the per-head budget that has been approved and see which set it falls on. The three sets contain clearly different things.

SetPer boxWhat is in the boxSuits
Value Set฿421 pastry + 100 ml cup of drinking water, from the classic menu of 10Tight budgets, short meetings, large handouts
Recommend Set฿702 premium pastries, no drink, from the premium menu of 19Events that already provide drinks
Best Seller Set฿852 premium pastries + 180 ml orange juice drinkEvents that want everything in one box

One small point that helps you decide. The ฿70 set has no drink, so if the meeting room already has coffee, water or tea, it is better value than paying for a second drink. If there is no drink at all, the ฿85 set with orange juice solves it. The ฿42 set already includes a cup of water, which is enough for events that only need one pastry and something to drink.

Mixing pastries in one order: how to split, and what does the 20-piece limit mean?

The rule is that one order can mix several kinds of pastry, but any one kind is limited to 20 pieces per order. This matters most when the box count is large, since you need enough different kinds to stay under the ceiling.

Example 1: a meeting of 60 boxes of Value Set at ฿42. One pastry per box means 60 pastries in total. Divided by the limit of 20 per kind, you need at least 3 kinds. Split it into three kinds of 20 pieces each.

PastryQuantity
Plain Croissant20
Chicken Floss Chili Bun20
Banana Chocolate Chip Cake20
Total60 boxes

The total is 60 × ฿42 = ฿2,520 before delivery. If you want more choice, split into four or five kinds, for instance 15 each of four kinds. More kinds gives people more to pick from, though the team has to confirm a few more menu lines.

Example 2: Recommend Set at ฿70 with 2 premium pastries per box. For 60 boxes you need 120 pastries, so at least 6 kinds, since 120 divided by 20 is exactly 6. Try six kinds of 20 pieces each, for instance Double Chocolate Croissant, Ham and Cheese Bun, Chicken Pizza Cone, Egg Tart, Chocolate Cookie Brownie and Raisin Cinnamon Roll. The total is 60 × ฿70 = ฿4,200 before delivery. Which two pastries end up together in a box, the team can arrange to keep a good balance.

Counting pieces this way is your own rough calculation to see how many kinds you need. The team confirms the final proportions when checking the order.

How should you balance savoury and sweet for different events?

There is no fixed ratio that is right for every event. What helps is asking when people will eat, how hungry they will be, and what limits they have. The following ideas are for common events. They are planning suggestions, not BreakHub rules.

Morning meeting

People often arrive without having eaten, so lean towards savoury, such as Pork Floss Chili Bun, Chicken Pizza Pie or Ham and Cheese Bun, which fill people up more. Keep sweet as a small option, such as Plain Croissant. Most people are already on coffee in the morning, and a very sweet box feels heavy.

Merit-making event

Guests span several ages, including older people who watch sweet and oily food. Choose pastries that are easy to pick up and eat without cutlery, with savoury and sweet in similar amounts. Familiar pastries such as Pandan Custard Bun, Fresh Butter Bun or Curry Chicken Pie rarely go wrong.

Funeral

Guests come and go through the day and often do not want to eat much. Choose plain pastries that are easy to pick up, not messy and not strongly scented. A half-and-half split of savoury and sweet is enough, and the emphasis should be on drinks so that guests can drink throughout. More guidance is in the funeral snack box guide.

All-day seminar

With a morning break and an afternoon break, do not use the same set for both. Go for a moderate amount of savoury in the morning, and sweet plus drinks in the afternoon to keep people alert. If the order is split into two rounds, give the quantity and menu for each round and tell the team from the first message. More ideas at two breaks across a full day.

Children's event

Children usually prefer sweet and easy food, but parents often like some savoury. Two parts sweet to one part savoury is a starting point. Pick soft pastries that are not hard or too dry. If any child has a dietary restriction, tell the team in advance, but BreakHub cannot guarantee a box is safe for people with food allergies, so check the ingredients yourself with the parents.

Worked examples: planning a set around a budget, scenario by scenario

These examples use only the prices ฿42, ฿70 and ฿85, and exclude delivery, which is charged by real distance and quoted before you confirm the order.

ScenarioSetCalculationTotal before delivery
Staff training for 50, tight budgetValue Set ฿4250 × 42฿2,100
Morning meeting for 60, coffee already providedRecommend Set ฿7060 × 70฿4,200
Seminar for 80, no drinks providedBest Seller Set ฿8580 × 85฿6,800

Here is a mixed example. Say a seminar has 120 attendees, including 30 speakers and executives who should get a better set, and 90 general attendees on the cheaper set.

  • Speakers and executives: 30 boxes × ฿85 = ฿2,550
  • General attendees: 90 boxes × ฿42 = ฿3,780
  • Total: ฿2,550 + ฿3,780 = ฿6,330 before delivery

When mixing two sets in one event, ask the team first whether it works and how the boxes will be separated in the delivery run. This is an order-by-order detail the team confirms, including how the 50-box minimum is counted. If you have doubts, ask before ordering.

One more case is a fixed total budget. Say finance approves ฿5,000 for 70 people. Dividing 5,000 by 70 gives about ฿71 each, but sets are sold at the full price, so choose ฿70, and 70 × 70 = ฿4,900 before delivery. That leaves ฿100, which may not even cover delivery, so ask about the delivery fee before deciding. If the budget is too tight, drop to the ฿42 set: 70 × 42 = ฿2,940 leaves more room for delivery and extra drinks.

Can you change the drink in the box?

Yes. A different drink can be added or swapped per box. If you want something other than the cup of drinking water or the orange juice drink, tell the team when you send the order details. They will say how it can be done and the price when confirming. We give no figure on this page because each drink differs.

A small tip: if some attendees do not drink orange juice, or the weather is very hot, tell the team from the start rather than swapping drinks at the venue. For outdoor events and hot weather, read more at snack boxes in hot weather.

Not sure how to split it? What to tell the team on LINE

If you are not confident about dividing the pastries, message the team on LINE. They can help put a set together within the published menu. Send the information below and they can suggest a set more accurately.

  1. The number of boxes you need, at least 50
  2. Your budget per box, or the approved total budget
  3. The type of event, such as a morning meeting, merit-making event, all-day seminar or children's event
  4. The serving time: morning, afternoon or all day
  5. Any known restrictions among attendees, for example no certain meats, or a request for less sweet pastries
  6. The date, time and address for delivery

The team proposes a savoury and sweet split and a set that fits the budget. You decide, and once you agree, they confirm menu, delivery fee and time before payment. The whole process is on how to order a snack box in 4 steps. If you need a document to show an approver first, fill in the quotation request.

A note on dietary needs: BreakHub cannot guarantee that a box is safe for people with food allergies. If your event has that requirement, check the menu with the people concerned before deciding.

Frequently asked questions

Can I build a custom break set to fit my budget?

Yes. Pick the base set that fits your budget, ฿42, ฿70 or ฿85 per box, then mix pastries within what is possible. If you are unsure how to split it, message the team on LINE and they will help fit a set to your budget and event, though the menu stays within the published list.

How many kinds of pastry can I mix in one order?

You can mix several kinds in one order, but any one kind is limited to 20 pieces per order. For example, 60 boxes of the ฿42 set need 60 pastries, so at least 3 kinds. The team confirms the final proportions when checking the order.

What is the minimum order for a custom break set?

The minimum is 50 boxes per order, for every set and every type of event. BreakHub does not accept orders below this. If you need fewer, try combining several events into one order, then ask the team on LINE.

Can you put my company logo on the box?

No. Customer logos, stickers and customer-branded boxes are not available. The box is white and carries the BreakHub logo. Every set has pastries in clear sachets, tissue in the box, and packing included in the box price.

Can I change the drink in the set?

Yes. A different drink can be added or swapped per box. Tell the team when you send the order details, and they will say how it can be done and what it costs before you confirm.

How should I split savoury and sweet pastries?

There is no fixed ratio. Morning meetings usually lean savoury, children's events lean sweet, and merit-making events and funerals use a similar amount of each. If you are unsure, the team can suggest a split by event type on LINE.

What do I tell the team when asking them to put a set together?

The number of boxes, the budget per box or total, the type of event, the serving time, any known restrictions among attendees, and the date, time and address for delivery. The more you send in the first message, the faster and closer the suggestion.
