Seminar and training break snack boxes
IllustrationWhen a seminar has dozens or hundreds of people, a break is the moment everyone stands up at once. If there are not enough snacks, or the queue is long, the host loses several minutes before the next session. This page explains how to plan seminar breaks and training days with snack boxes, from choosing a set and working out quantities to the timetable for each round.
By seminar break we mean boxes delivered to the venue, ready for attendees to pick up when the break starts. This differs from a regular meeting in three ways: people come from several departments, tastes and ages vary, and there are often several rounds in one day.
You might also call it conference break catering, training day snacks or seminar coffee break boxes. They all describe the same service: boxes delivered to the venue and handed to attendees one each.
Which set should I choose for a seminar break?
For seminars, Best Seller Set at ฿85 is the easiest choice. It has two premium pastries and a 180 ml orange juice drink, so food and drink come in one box. For tighter budgets, Value Set at ฿42 works. An order must be at least 50 boxes, so a seminar smaller than that has to be combined with another event, or you can message the team on LINE to talk it through.
| Set | Price per box | What is in the box | Suits this kind of seminar |
|---|---|---|---|
| Value Set | ฿42 | 1 classic pastry and 100 ml drinking water | The morning round after registration, or a short break |
| Recommend Set | ฿70 | 2 premium pastries, no drink | Venues that already provide drinks |
| Best Seller Set | ฿85 | 2 premium pastries and 180 ml orange juice drink | Afternoon rounds, half-day seminars, speakers and guests |
You can vary the pastries between rounds, and the team confirms the menu with you before baking. Value Set picks from the classic menu of 10 items. Recommend Set and Best Seller Set pick from the premium menu of 19 items. Pastries can be mixed in one order, with up to 20 pieces of any single kind.
Can I mix several sets in the same seminar?
Yes, sets can be mixed in one order. Most seminars order a standard set for general attendees and add a smaller number of Best Seller Set boxes for speakers and the front tables.
Here is an example for a seminar of 80 people: 72 attendees and 8 speakers and executives.
- 72 boxes of Value Set for attendees: 72 x 42 = ฿3,024
- 8 boxes of Best Seller Set for speakers and executives: 8 x 85 = ฿680
- Total ฿3,704 before delivery. This order is 80 boxes, which clears the 50-box minimum.
When you order, tell the team how many boxes of each set you want and name the person receiving on site, so whoever takes the delivery does not have to guess. If you need delivery to several points, talk to the team in advance, since the delivery fee is charged by real distance.

How should I time the morning and afternoon breaks?
A full-day seminar usually has two breaks, around 10:30 in the morning and around 14:30 in the afternoon, each lasting 15 to 20 minutes. If the boxes are already there before a break opens, attendees pick them up quickly and are back in the room on time.
| Time | Activity | What to prepare |
|---|---|---|
| 08:30 | Registration | Morning boxes already at the venue, placed at the break table |
| 10:30 | Morning break | Open the table, with venue staff or your own team handing out |
| 12:00 | Lunch | Not related to the snack boxes |
| 14:30 | Afternoon break | Afternoon boxes arrive at least 30 minutes earlier |
If you want the two rounds delivered at separate times, tell the team clearly how many boxes for the morning, how many for the afternoon, and when each should arrive. The delivery fee may be charged per trip, and the team will say so before you confirm.

How do I count seminar attendees so the snacks do not run out?
Start from the confirmed registrations, then add 5 to 10 percent for speakers, staff and walk-ins. Seminars with free registration often see no-shows, so look at the real turnout from past events before adjusting downwards.
- Take the confirmed registrations.
- Add speakers, the host and the organising team.
- Add another 5 to 10 percent.
- Multiply by the number of breaks.
For example, 100 registrations plus 10 staff, with an 8 percent buffer, comes to about 119 boxes, rounded up to 120. With two rounds, both on Best Seller Set, that is 120 x 2 x 85 = ฿20,400 before delivery. For events bigger than this, see the guide for 100 people.
How is a training course break different from a seminar?
A training course has the same participants for several days, unlike a seminar where groups move in and out. So you plan breaks for the whole course, not day by day.
- For 2 to 3 days in a row, ask the team to vary the pastries each day so participants do not see the same thing again. The team will say whether this is possible, depending on the queue.
- Small groups of 10 to 20 are under the 50-box minimum per order. If the whole course adds up to 50 boxes, message the team on LINE and ask whether it can be one order. Do not order more than you need just to reach the minimum.
- If the training is in a hotel or a rented room, check first whether the venue allows outside snacks to be brought in.
For internal staff training, see how to budget two rounds a day at staff training breaks.

What if the attendees have different needs?
A seminar with a wide mix of ages and backgrounds should ask about dietary limits at registration, then send the combined list to the team before you order.
The team can look at the menu with you based on what you tell them, but we cannot guarantee that any set meets a religious or dietary certification, or that it is free of allergens. Anyone with a severe allergy should ask the team about ingredients first and should not guess from the name of a set. If many attendees need specific food, you may need another source to cover that group.
There is more to check in the food allergy checklist.
How do I hand out boxes to 100 attendees without a crowd?
For a seminar of around 100 people, set up at least two handout points outside the main room, away from the walkways, because everyone stands up at the same moment when the break is announced. With one table, you get a long queue.
Boxes help here, since one box is one person and nobody has to portion anything. Each pastry sits in a clear sachet and every box has a tissue, so staff can hand them out quickly without extra equipment.
- Line up the boxes at least 15 minutes before the break. Staff should finish arranging the table before the host announces the break, not open new boxes while people are already waiting.
- Keep speaker boxes at a separate table. If you order a different set for speakers, put them at their own point with a table sign. You do not need names on the boxes.
- Leave a few spare boxes at the end of the table. Latecomers show up every time, and it is awkward to run out and then look for more.
- Put a rubbish bag near the table. Sachets and empty boxes pile up fast when everyone eats at once.
This is planning advice for the venue, not a service. The BreakHub team delivers the boxes to the agreed point, and handing them out is up to your event staff or the venue team.
What to know before ordering for a seminar
These are the limits worth knowing before you plan around BreakHub, so you do not have to change the plan close to the event.
| Topic | What to know |
|---|---|
| Minimum | 50 boxes per order, and smaller orders are not accepted |
| Lead time | At least 2 days ahead. Same-day rush covers only some pastries and depends on the day's queue; see rush orders |
| Pieces per kind | No more than 20 pieces of one kind in a single order |
| Delivery area | Bangkok and the surrounding provinces, confirmed per address, with the fee quoted by distance |
| Payment and reductions | Paid in full before delivery day. Reducing the box count needs 48 hours notice, after which the original count stands |
| Dietary needs | No guarantee for religious or vegetarian requirements, or for allergen-free boxes |
| Arrival time | The team confirms a time before preparing, but does not guarantee arrival to the minute |
If attendance drops after you order, tell the team more than 48 hours before delivery. Later than that, the original count stands. When registrations are still moving, order only the part you are sure of, and order early.
How to order snack boxes for a seminar
- Choose sets and quantities from the examples above, or give your budget per person and let the team suggest.
- Send the quantity for each round, the date, time, venue and event type on LINE or through the quotation form.
- The team confirms the menu, the delivery fee and the total.
- You confirm, pay in full before delivery, and we prepare the order as agreed.
Order at least 2 days ahead, and allow more for a big event. Read about handling large events in snack boxes for 200 to 500 people. If you need it sooner than 2 days, there are two rush options, either before 10:00 for 17:00 the same day or within 4 hours of confirmation, using a limited menu. See rush orders and ask the team about the queue first. Invoices and receipts are issued on request. The overall service for companies is described on corporate snack boxes.
Summary
A smooth seminar break starts with a real headcount plus a 5 to 10 percent buffer. Then pick sets by budget: ฿42, ฿70 or ฿85 per box, mixable in one order, with a 50-box minimum and at least 2 days of lead time. Delivery is quoted by distance and confirmed before you commit, and we do not guarantee boxes for religious or vegetarian requirements, or allergen-free ones, so check the menu with the team.
When you are ready, send the quotation request form or press the LINE order button on a set page.

Frequently asked questions
Which set is best for a seminar break?
Best Seller Set at ฿85 is an easy choice for a half-day or full-day seminar, since it has 2 premium pastries and a 180 ml orange juice drink. For tighter budgets use Value Set at ฿42. If the venue already provides drinks, Recommend Set at ฿70 is enough.
Can I split a two-round seminar into separate delivery times?
Yes. Tell the team how many boxes you need for the morning and the afternoon and when each should arrive. The delivery fee can differ from a single delivery, and the team tells you before you confirm.
Can I mix several sets for one seminar?
Yes, sets can be mixed in the same order. For example, general attendees on Value Set and speakers on Best Seller Set. Tell the team how many boxes of each when you order.
How many extra boxes should I allow over registrations?
About 5 to 10 percent, to cover speakers, staff and people who arrive without registering. If you have run a similar event before, adjust using the real numbers from last time.
Can a multi-day training course get different pastries each day?
Tell the team when you order that you want different pastries each day. Pastries do vary between rounds, and the team confirms the menu in advance. We do not promise every day will be different, as it depends on each day's queue.
How far ahead do I need to order, and can I rush an order?
At least 2 days, and earlier for large events. For anything sooner there are two rush options: order before 10:00 for 17:00 the same day, or receive within 4 hours of confirmation. Both use a limited menu, so ask the team about the queue first.
Can I get a quotation for a seminar?
Yes. Send the quotation form with the details of your event, and the team replies with the total and the delivery fee. Invoices and receipts are issued on request.
