Snack boxes for schools and student events

A teacher or school administrator hunting for school snack boxes for an event usually meets the same three problems: a tight budget per head, a lot of people, and the need to be sure the children can actually eat what arrives. This page explains how we set up boxes for school events, what they cost, and what to tell us before you order.

BreakHub delivers snack boxes and light refreshments in Bangkok and nearby provinces. The minimum is 50 boxes per order, and you can mix sets in one order as long as you tell the team when you order. Photos on this site are illustrations, not pictures of the exact items in each delivery.

How much do school snack boxes cost, and which set suits children?

There are 3 sets, priced at 42 to 85 baht per box. The box, tissue and individually wrapped pastries are included in the price. For most school events the Value Set is enough, because children do not need several pastries per round.

SetPrice per boxWhat is insideGood for
Value Set42 baht1 classic pastry, 100 ml cup of drinking waterShort activities, sports day, half-day camp, parent and teacher meetings
Recommend Set70 baht2 premium pastries (no drink)Schools that already supply drinking water, or older pupils with bigger appetites
Best Seller Set85 baht2 premium pastries, 180 ml orange juice drinkGraduation parties, hosting guests and school management

All prices exclude delivery, which is charged by real distance, and the team gives you the amount once they have the school's address. If you want an extra or different drink, message the team on LINE before you order.

A note for small schools: an order needs at least 50 boxes. If one class or year group has fewer people than that, try combining several activities or year groups into one order, or message us on LINE to talk it through first.

Which school events can use snack boxes?

Boxes work for events where food is handed out person by person and teachers do not want to spend time laying out plates. Typical uses are listed below.

  • Activity days: sports day, academic day, science camp and Children's Day, where many pupils need a snack in a short time.
  • Parent meetings: these have their own page at parent meetings.
  • Graduation events: the rehearsal, the certificate day and the farewell ceremony, which often mix children with senior guests.
  • Teacher training and staff meetings: including visits from the education area office, when you need to host visitors.
  • Prizes and treats: handed out after a competition or during the break in an activity.

For university events, see university snack boxes, which take a different approach. For events with very young children, menu details are in the guide to break snacks for kids.

What should you check before ordering snack boxes for children?

Check three things: the children's ages, any food allergies, and how the children will eat. Ask parents or the homeroom teacher before you send the numbers to the team.

Age group

Kindergarten and lower primary pupils eat differently from secondary students. Hard pieces or large nuts may not suit small children. Tell the team which year group the boxes are for, and they will help pick pastries from the menu that fit the age.

Food allergies

BreakHub does not guarantee that any set is free of allergens. Baked goods often contain milk, eggs, wheat or nuts. If any child has an allergy, send the list before you order. The team will tell you what they can check from the menu ingredients and say plainly if they cannot check something. Parents of children with severe allergies should decide for themselves whether the child eats it. More on checking is in the allergy checklist.

How they eat

Children often eat while walking or straight after exercise. A crumbly pastry or one with a runny filling can stain school uniforms and leave teachers cleaning up. If the event is outdoors, read snack boxes for outdoor events.

How much does a school event for 120 people cost?

Multiply headcount by rounds by box price, then add the delivery fee the team quotes later. The examples below are made-up numbers to show the method.

ScenarioCalculationTotal before delivery
Half-day sports day, 100 pupils and 20 teachers, Value Set120 x 425,040 baht
Graduation event for 120 people, Best Seller Set120 x 8510,200 baht
Mixed: 100 pupils on Value Set, 20 teachers on Recommend Set(100 x 42) + (20 x 70)5,600 baht

If your budget sits between two sets, say 60 baht a head, use the Value Set for the children and the Recommend Set only for the group that wants two pastries. All figures are before delivery. Try your own numbers in the snack box budget calculator.

If the event needs a budget request to another body, ask for a quotation on the quotation page. For any other payment paperwork your organisation requires, confirm with the team order by order rather than assuming in advance.

How do you choose a school menu that does not burden teachers?

Pick items that are easy to hand out and easy to eat, with no extra equipment. Most schools have no time to prepare plates, spoons or extra bins. Every pastry of ours is in a clear individual sachet, and each box has tissue.

  • Soft pastries for small children: Fresh Butter Bun, Pandan Custard Bun and Plain Croissant on the classic menu are easy to eat with no utensils.
  • Savoury pastries for older pupils: Chicken Pizza Pie, Curry Chicken Pie and Chicken Floss Chili Bun fill them up and suit active events.
  • Items to avoid outdoors: anything with a runny filling or lots of cream, since heat can make it messy. Ask the team before choosing.
  • School rules: if your school bans certain snacks or drinks, say so before ordering and the team will tell you which set can work.

On drinks, the Value Set includes a 100 ml cup of drinking water and the Best Seller Set includes a 180 ml orange juice drink. The Recommend Set has no drink. If you want to add or swap a drink per box, tell the team before ordering and they will confirm it with the total.

How do you run parent meetings and graduation events?

At these two events the people eating are adults or almost adults, unlike a regular pupil activity, so the set and the delivery timing differ.

Parent meetings

Parents rarely arrive at the same time, and some come straight from work without a break. A set with drinking water and one or two pastries is enough. Aim for the boxes to arrive about 30 minutes before the meeting starts and leave them at the registration table so people pick one up on arrival.

Graduation events

On the day, pupils and teachers are moving around constantly. Fix just one or two collection points and name one teacher to sign for the boxes. If the event has both pupils and senior guests, you can mix sets in one order: pupils on the Value Set, guests on the Best Seller Set. Just tell the team when you order how the piles should be separated.

How do you order snack boxes for students?

There are four steps and they do not take long, but start at least 2 days before the event.

  1. Pick a set from the table above, or give the team your budget per head and ask for a recommendation.
  2. Send details on LINE or through the quotation page: number of boxes, date and time, venue, type of event, children's age range and any allergies.
  3. The team confirms the menu, delivery fee and total.
  4. You confirm, and the team prepares the boxes for the agreed time.

For timing and fees, read snack box delivery fees and how far ahead to order.

What information should you prepare before sending a school order?

The details in this table let the team confirm menu and delivery fee in one round. Prepare them before you message.

DetailWhat to tell us
Number of boxesSplit into pupils, teachers, guests and a spare margin for late arrivals
Age rangeKindergarten, lower primary, upper primary, secondary
AllergiesHow many children, and what they react to, as reported by parents
Delivery pointWhich gate, which building, recipient name, a contact number inside the school
Delivery timeWhen the event starts and when a teacher will be ready to receive
DocumentsWhether you need a quotation, and any other document your organisation asks for

Leave yourself a few spare boxes, since extra pupils or teachers often turn up without warning, but budget for them. Remember too that reducing the box count needs 48 hours notice.

What are the limits to know before ordering for a school?

School events have conditions worth knowing before you plan, because some can change the box count or the menu you had in mind.

  • Minimum 50 boxes per order: sets can be mixed, with at most 20 pieces of any one pastry per order. A 50-box order of two-pastry sets therefore needs at least 5 kinds of pastry.
  • Order at least 2 days ahead: there are two rush options, ordering before 10:00 for 17:00 the same day, or receiving within 4 hours of confirmation. They work only for a limited set of pastries and depend on the day's queue. See the rush delivery page.
  • Full payment before delivery day: reducing the box count needs 48 hours notice, and after that the original amount stands.
  • Delivery is charged separately from box prices: it is based on real distance, quoted before you confirm, and each address is checked per order.
  • No allergen guarantee: the team can only tell you what they can check from the menu ingredients. Parents of children with severe allergies should decide for themselves.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for school snack boxes?

The minimum is 50 boxes per order. You can mix sets in one order, for example pupils on the 42 baht Value Set and teachers on the 70 baht Recommend Set, but tell the team when you order. Each pastry is limited to 20 pieces per order. If you have fewer than 50 people, try combining with another activity or message us on LINE.

How many days ahead should a school order?

At least 2 days, so the team can confirm the menu and delivery time. For urgent events there are rush options for a limited set of pastries: order before 10:00 for 17:00 the same day, or receive within 4 hours of confirmation. Message on LINE to check the queue first.

Can I order if a child has a food allergy?

Yes, but send the list of allergies before the menu is confirmed. The team will tell you what they can check from the menu ingredients, and we do not state that any set is free of allergens. Parents of an allergic child should know what is handed out before the child eats it.

Can I choose which pastries go in the boxes?

Yes. The Value Set picks from the 10-item classic menu, while the Recommend Set and Best Seller Set pick from the 19-item premium menu. You can mix, with at most 20 pieces of one pastry per order. The team confirms the menu with you before delivery and takes limits such as soft pastries for small children into account.

How much is delivery to a school?

Box prices exclude delivery. The fee is based on real distance to the school and the team quotes it when confirming your order, before you pay. We deliver in Bangkok and surrounding provinces, and check each address per order.

Can I get a quotation to request a school budget?

Yes, ask on the quotation page. For any other payment paperwork or procurement documents your organisation requires, confirm with the team order by order whether it can be provided, and do not assume in advance.

Can I mix sets with different prices in one event?

Yes. For example, 100 pupils on the 42 baht Value Set and 20 teachers on the 70 baht Recommend Set come to 5,600 baht before delivery. Just tell the team how the boxes should be separated.
