Snack boxes for sports days and fun runs
IllustrationOrganisers of a fun run or a sports competition usually ask the same thing first: what is a good snack for athletes? Our honest answer is that BreakHub did not design its snack boxes for running events around sports nutrition, and we will not make claims about energy, protein or muscle recovery. What we do offer is a box of pastry and a drink delivered as agreed, plus practical advice on handing out, storing and coordinating on the day.
We deliver in Bangkok and the surrounding provinces. The minimum is 50 boxes per order and prices start at ฿42 per box, with delivery charged separately by real distance. The box, tissue and individually wrapped pastry are included. The photos on the website are illustrations.
What can we confirm about snack boxes for sports events, and what can we not?
We can confirm what is in the box, what it costs and how it is delivered. We cannot confirm which pastry suits which running distance, or how many nutrients it contains.
| Topic | What BreakHub can tell you | What we do not say |
|---|---|---|
| Box contents | The number of pastries and the kind of drink in each set | Calories, protein or electrolyte content |
| Menu | The choices on each set's menu, with the real list confirmed when you order | Any effect on running or competition performance |
| Storage | The pastries are baked fresh with no preservatives, so eat them the day they arrive and keep them out of long sun | A guarantee of how many hours they last in the sun |
| Effect on the body | None | That the boxes suit athletes, reduce fatigue or help recovery |
If your event has a medical team or a nutrition coach, ask them about food before and after competing. Then use our boxes as a hand-out after the event or for staff and volunteers.
How much do snacks for runners cost, and which set suits a sports event?
Snacks for runners from BreakHub cost ฿42, ฿70 or ฿85 per box. Most running events hand out boxes to many people in a short time, so the Value Set at ฿42 is the easiest to budget for, and the Best Seller Set with its orange juice drink suits prizes or invited guests.
| Set | Price per box | In the box | Used for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Value Set | ฿42 | 1 classic pastry, 100 ml cup of drinking water | Runners after the finish line, volunteers and referees |
| Recommend Set | ฿70 | 2 premium pastries (no drink) | Events that already have water and sports drinks supplied separately |
| Best Seller Set | ฿85 | 2 premium pastries, 180 ml orange juice drink | Prize winners and VIP guests |
As a budget example, a mini-marathon with 300 runners on the Value Set is 300 × ฿42 = ฿12,600. Add 30 volunteers on the Recommend Set at 30 × ฿70 = ฿2,100 and the total is ฿14,700 before delivery. For larger numbers, see our guidance on snack boxes for 200 to 500 people.

How long can the pastries cope with sun and waiting at an outdoor sports event?
Pastries left waiting in the sun lose quality quickly, especially those with cream, fresh fruit filling or cheese. We therefore do not recommend stacking boxes outdoors for longer than necessary, and we do not guarantee the shelf time of any item without knowing the conditions on site.
- Pick sturdier pastries: Ask the team whether the pastries you like have cream or cheese fillings, and choose ones that suffer less from heat, such as the Fresh Butter Bun or the Banana Chocolate Chip Cake.
- Pick the drop point: Use an umbrella, a roof or a tent, and keep the boxes away from hot road surfaces.
- Split into two orders: For a long event, separate orders by time slot, but each order must still meet the 50-box minimum.
- Set a clearing time: Boxes not handed out within the agreed time should be taken away, and not given out later if you are worried about freshness.
- Bring extra water: People who run or compete need more water than the box contains.
For storage details and timing, read our guides to outdoor event snack boxes and hot weather snack boxes.
When is the best time to hand out snack boxes: before, during or after the run?
Many events hand out boxes after the finish line, or when athletes stop competing, because nobody carries a box while racing. Before the start, a bottle of water or something small suits better than a full box.
| Time | What to think about |
|---|---|
| Before the start | Runners do not want to carry a box. Can they leave bags somewhere? If not, you might hand boxes out when they collect their shirt and number in advance |
| Finish line | Large numbers arrive together, so you need several handout tables and separate entry and exit lanes |
| After the prize ceremony | Small groups can be served more slowly, which suits the Best Seller Set with its orange juice drink |
| Staff and volunteers | Hand out separately during shift changes so these boxes do not mix with the runners' boxes |
Name one drop point that vehicles can reach, and prepare an on-site coordinator the team can phone. If roads are closed or access is limited, tell the team in advance which way in is open.

How do you order for a multi-day tournament without repeating the menu?
For a multi-day event such as a school sports day or a multi-sport tournament, tell the team how many days and how many rounds per day you need, and how you would like the pastries to differ day to day. You can choose from each set's menu and mix pastries, with no more than 20 pieces of one kind per order, and the team confirms the list for each day with you.
As an example, a three-day tournament with 80 people a day and one break a day on the Value Set comes to 3 × 80 × ฿42 = ฿10,080 before delivery. Each order must be at least 50 boxes, and 80 a day clears that. For regular repeat orders, see recurring orders, and for school events read more on the school snack box page.

What to know before ordering for a run or sports event
Several conditions are worth knowing before you plan, because sports events have tight timing and many people arriving at once.
- Minimum of 50 boxes per order: Events under 50 people cannot order yet. Try combining with another event or ask the team.
- Not sports nutrition: We make no claims about nutrition or recovery.
- No guaranteed arrival or keeping time: Delivery time is agreed order by order, and pastries should not sit in the sun for long.
- Reducing the box count needs 48 hours' notice: After that the original count stands, so settle your number of entrants before ordering.
- No allergy guarantee: If participants have allergies, tell the team when you order.
- Delivery is extra: Closed roads or access through certain gates only are factored into the fee, which the team quotes before you confirm.
How do you order snack boxes for a sports event?
There are four steps, and for a large run you should start well before the event date.
- Choose a set from the table, or tell the team your budget per head and ask for a recommendation.
- Send the box count, date, time, venue, type of event (running, competition, school sports day) and whatever you know about the weather on site, through LINE or the quote request form.
- The team confirms the menu, how the boxes will be delivered, the delivery fee and the total.
- You confirm and pay in full before the delivery day, and the team prepares the boxes for the agreed time.
Order at least 2 days ahead, and earlier for events with many people. For a last-minute job there are rush options with a limited menu, which are ordering before 10:00 for 17:00 the same day or receiving within 4 hours. Ask about the queue first, because we do not promise to take every rush order. See how far ahead to order. A quotation, invoice and receipt are available as usual.

Frequently asked questions
Are snack boxes suitable for runners?
We do not confirm that any set suits runners or helps recovery. BreakHub supplies boxes of pastry and a drink for hand-outs only. If you need sports nutrition, ask a specialist attached to your event, and use our boxes for finishers, staff and volunteers after the event.
What is the minimum order for snacks handed out to runners?
The minimum is 50 boxes per order, and events with hundreds of runners can order. You can mix sets, for example runners on the Value Set at ฿42 and volunteers on the Recommend Set at ฿70. If your event is under 50 people, combine it with another activity or message the team.
Will the pastries spoil if they wait in the sun?
Pastries left in the sun lose quality faster, especially those with cream or fresh fillings, so we give no guaranteed keeping time. Keep the boxes in the shade, split deliveries into rounds, and ask the team whether the pastries you chose are sensitive to heat.
Can I choose pastries without cream?
Yes. Tell the team when you order that you do not want cream or fresh fillings. You can mix pastries from the menu of each set, with no more than 20 pieces of one kind, and the team confirms what is possible before delivery.
How much is delivery to a stadium or a running venue?
There is no fixed figure. Delivery is not included in the box price and follows the real distance, and the team quotes it when you confirm the order. If roads are closed or vehicles can use only some gates, tell the team when you ask for the quotation.
How far ahead should I order?
At least 2 days, and earlier for large events. For urgent jobs there are rush options with a limited menu, which are ordering before 10:00 for 17:00 the same day or receiving within 4 hours. Ask about the queue first, because the team will not promise before checking.
Can I reduce the box count if fewer runners register?
Yes, if you tell the team at least 48 hours ahead. After that the original count stands. The reduced order must still be at least 50 boxes, so settle the number of registrations before you place the order.
